T.251. Ephebic names

Description: Sandstone block (w: 1.29 x h: 0.35 x d: 0.50).
Text: Incised with three texts within wreaths (i. line 1 above the wreath); there is a caduceus between i and ii and a palm branch to the right of iii.
Letters: i: 0.04; lunate epsilon, sigma and cursive omega together with an square sigma in line 3; L for ἔτους; a superscript bar above the abbreviated praenomen; ii: 0.04, lunate sigma; L for ἔτους much fainter than those of i. or ii. iii: 0.04; square sigma; L for ἔτους.

Date: Late first century BCE - early second century CE

Findspot: Taucheira: Turkish castle, 'sulla gradinata della piazzetta'; found in 1936.
Original location: Gymnasium.
Last recorded location: Tocra Museum.
