Commentary
Certainly graffiti; probably the block originally belonged in the gymnasium and was inscribed by ephebes.
i: The monogram is common in ephebic texts at Ptolemais and Teucheira; see on P.26.
iii: For the name see P.79. The dative case in an ephebic context suggests a preceding name in the nominative; the two may have been linked by ἔθος, ἔθει, ἔθη or by φίλος: see on T.27.
