Description: Rock-cut tomb, inscribed on the façade with P.253, P.254, P.255.
Text: Inscribed within a sunk triangular-headed panel, damaged at the right side (w: 0.41 x h: 0.48), above the door.
Letters: 0.03; cursive epsilon, square sigma; several different hands.

Date: Probably first to second centuries CE

Findspot: Ptolemais: Quarry I.b.ii; first recorded in 1825.

Commentary

The name Sara suggests a Jewish family

Line 7: The comment is a very rare feature in Cyrenaican funerary inscriptions.
