P.127. Ephebic names

Description: Sandstone block (w: 0.42 x h: 0.25 x d: 0.21), the surface partially lost. One of a group inscribed with P.127, P.128, P.129, P.130, P.131, P.132, P.133, P.134, P.135.
Text: Graffiti on one face; the monogram is cut to the right of lines 2 and 3.
Letters: c. 0.09; L for ἔτους; monogram in line 2; lines 3/4 are smaller but perhaps in the same hand.

Date: First century BCE to first century CE

Findspot: Ptolemais: Street of the Monuments, re-used in late buildings; found in 1935/6.
Original location: ?A gymnasium
Last recorded location: Lying loose in the street.
