M.124. Boundary marker

Description: A lower part of a brown limestone stele damaged above and along the sides (w: 0.62 x h: 1.10 x d: 0.42).
Text: Inscribed on one face. Presumably the Latin text appeared above the Greek on this face and the Greek was continued on the right hand face in the lost upper part of the stele.
Letters: 0.03; lunate sigma three times for Σ, at the ends of lines 7, 8 and in the middle of μέγιστος; the last two letters of line 7 and the last letter of line 8 written small.

Findspot: Gebel Akhdar: West of Cyrene: Bu Traba; found in 1970 in situ in a line with M.125, south of M.123
