Description: One of a group of six marble bases for statues of the Muses, inscribed with C.24, C.25, C.26, C.27, C.28, C.29; a seventh is uninscribed. Rectangular base, unmoulded, (w: 0.37 x h: 0.09 x d: 0.34) carrying a statue of a muse complete except for the head and right hand.
Text: Inscribed on the base.
Letters: Second to third centuries; atypical at Cyrene and possibly cut elsewhere; 0.04; rubricated.

Findspot: Cyrene: Theatre 2; found between 1962 and 1966.
