(Greek): Emperor Caesar son of [deified Trajan, victor in Parthia, grandson] of deified [Nerva], Trajan Hadrian Augustus, Chief Priest, holding tribunician power for the seventh time, consul [for the third time] gave [?to the city ]

Commentary

No doubt part of the programme of assistance to the province after the Jewish revolt; compare an inscription of the same year at Apollonia, A.37 and commentary there. It is possible that the building given was a basilica underlying the later church; see Boatwright (2000) 184, note 61.
