P.247. Funerary inscription

Description: Rock-cut tomb, inscribed on the façade with P.247 and P.248.
Text: Inscribed on the façade above the door to the left side, within a sunk rectangular panel set within a gabled frame outlined in relief. There is another, illegible, triangular-headed panel to the right of this.
Letters: 0.025 - 0.03; square sigma; L for ἐτῶν.

Date: First century A.D

Findspot: Ptolemais: Quarry I.b.i, north wall; first recorded in 1825.
