M.260. Funerary inscription

Description: Round headed stele of brown limestone, the upper part cut back on either side leaving a relief of a head and neck, (w: 0.33 x h: 0.42 x d: 0.14).
Text: Inscribed on the face, below the relief.
Letters: 0.02-0.025; square omega, very roughly and lightly cut, between strongly marked guide-lines.

Date: Late first or early second century CE

Findspot: Gebel Akhdar: East of Cyrene: Limnias; found in 1959.
Original location: Unknown
Last recorded location: Cyrene Museum: Casa Parisi, no inventory number
