M.101. Funerary inscription

Description: Small limestone stele (white, weathered grey), with rudimentary acroteria and a central peak above (w: 0.28 x h: 0.43 x d: 0.10).
Text: Inscribed within a panel defined by a plain moulding on three sides (die, w: 0.155 x h: 0.18); the face is extremely worn.
Letters: Probably first century CE, freehand and irregular; average height, 0.015; lunate sigma, cursive omega; L for ἔτους, ἐτῶν.

Date: Probably first century CE

Findspot: Gebel Akhdar: West of Cyrene: Ghot Jinoubl. Found in 1971.
Original location: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Tocra Museum.
