C.56. Ephebic names

Description: The greater part of a moulded marble base, recomposed from four pieces (together, w: 0.62 x h: 0.33 x d: 0.34), with texts on three faces. Front face, C.51, C.52 and C.53; left face, C.54; reverse face, C.55 and C.56.
Text: Inscribed on the reverse face: upside down to C.55; line 1 on the upper moulding. In various hands, of varying competence.
Letters: No measurements; sloping line for homonymous patronymic, line 5.

Date: First century CE

Findspot: Cyrene: House of Jason Magnus, precise findspot unrecorded, apparently to the East; found before 1941.
