Description: Two ashlar blocks in the wall of the fortress; other blocks are inscribed with M.56, M.57, M.58, M.59, M.60, M.61, M.62.
Text: Graffiti
Letters: i. 0.04; square sigma; ii. 0.07 – 0.08, perhaps two hands, but all letters are very uncertain.

Date: First century CE

Findspot: South of Berenike: Zawyiet Msus, in the Roman fort, on the west wall of the tower; first recorded in 1950.
Original location: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Findspot (re-examined in 1969, 1970)

ii.1: The letters are clear, but as Robert pointed out, it is unlikely that the epithet, used of Priests of Apollo and others (see Index) is being used here: perhaps a name.
