Commentary

On both a and b each entry is in a different hand, suggesting a running list of eponymous priests of Apollo; see commentary on A.3.

a. line 5: No doubt related to Ἀριστόπολις Δημητρίου in A.3, line 12, where see commentary.

a. line 6: No doubt related to Κτἠσιππος Διοφάντου in A.6, line 16

a. line 14: No doubt related to Σωσίβιος Διοδότου in A.6.

a. line 15: No doubt related to Νικίας Ἀλεξάνδρου in A.6, line 10.

a. line 17: Praenomen and nomen were added in the margin; the nomen might be Κο(ίντιος), Κο(ιντείλιος). It seems impossible to read the last two letters in the line as anything but ε or lunate sigma, which rules out Pugliese's attractive Εὐφρίσκο[υ].

b. The presence of praenomina of Roman citizens shows that this list is of rather later date than the others on this stele.
