T.547. Funerary inscription

Description: Rock-cut tomb inscribed on the façade, with texts T.547, T.548, T.549.
Text: Inscribed within a gabled panel (w: 0.33 x h: 0.27) outlined by an incised line, above the door. What seemed to be traces of a Hebrew inscription in the gable (so SEG), are probably marks due to weathering.
Letters: 0.03; lunate sigma, cursive omega; L for ἔτους, ἐτῶν; there may be superscript bars above the figures in lines 1, 6.

Date: 8 April, CE 80

Findspot: Taucheira: Quarry East XV, South wall. First recorded in 1944.
