T.472. Funerary inscription

Description: Rock-cut tomb inscribed on the façade, which is much damaged, with T.472, T.473 and T.474.
Text: Inscribed above the door (no panel), the surface damaged to left.
Letters: 0.08, very rough.

Date: Probably first century CE

Findspot: Taucheira: Quarry East XV, south side; first recorded in 1936.

Apparatus

1: Oliverio proposed Χ(ώ)νι(ος)?, SEG suggested Χόνι[ος],but it is not clear that anything is lost to right whereas the layout in relation to the door suggests that something is lost to left. Possibly the final stroke is accidental and the text should be read as a genitive plural -]χων
