Commentary
Kraeling described the text as “complete in one line”; The text was never more than one line, but it cannot be assumed that it is complete at the end given the condition of the stone. Silvanus might have been a donor, or he might simply have established his 'place' by this column; for 'place' inscriptions see ALA2004, XI.2.
