M.218. Funerary inscription

Description: Marble stele tapering towards the top, moulded above (w: 0.44-0.38 x h: 1.13 x d: 0.345).
Text: Inscribed on one face; no distinguishable change of hand between entries.
Letters: First century CE: 0.02, lunate epsilon, lunate sigma, cursive omega; L for ἔτους; superscript bar above L and the figures; tricorn stops.

Date: 18 October, 80 CE

Findspot: Gebel Akhdar: West of Cyrene: Road from Beida to Cyrene, in the necropolis near the Cyrene cross roads; found in 1956.
Original location: Unknown
Last recorded location: Casa Parisi.
