Description: Block of limestone, broken at either end (w: 0.67 x h: 0.50 x d: 0.64).
Text: Inscribed on one face which is very worn.
Letters: Second century 0.03 -0.04.

Date: Second century CE

Findspot: Cyrene: Temple of Apollo; found during excavations in 1917
Original location: Probably from the cella wall.
Last recorded location: Findspot: standing on the stylobate, beside C.250 (2008).

Commentary

Almost certainly to be identified with an inscribed block mentioned by Pernier, loc.cit. and wrongly regarded by him as a duplicate of C.250. It is probably impossible to extract a coherent text.
