Description: One of a group of six marble bases for statues of the Muses, inscribed with C.24, C.25, C.26, C.27, C.28, C.29; a seventh is uninscribed. Front part of an approximately oval base, without moulding, w: 0.33 x h: 0.085. One foot of the statue survives on top.
Text: Inscribed on the base.
Letters: Second to third centuries. Atypical at Cyrene and possibly cut elsewhere. 0.06, traces of rubrication.

Date: Second to third centuries CE

Findspot: Cyrene: Theatre 2; found between 1962 and 1966.
Original location: Unknown.
Last recorded location: Cyrene museum.
