Commentary

For the tomb see Bailey, art. cit. Probably Κλαυδία, whether given in full or abbreviated to Κλα; if used as a Roman nomen, a personal name (perhaps Μεγιλλώ) is likely to follow; if used as a personal name, a patronymic (possibly Μεγίλλω) is likely. Alternatively, the first name may have begun Καλ-: note, in addition to the many Greek names of this type, the Libyan name Καλαμερα.
